This translator device trend is on the verge of exploding within hololive. Moona and Kanata and likely others have already expressed interest in buying some. They seem to work pretty well, does anyone know what specific type of translators they are?

It was really impressive how accurate the translations were and I don't understand why Google, one of the richest companies in the world, can't get their automatic translated captions to work for shit, when this little $250 device is nearly perfect.

It's intended use is for tourists going to a country of which they don't know the language. I also think it's mainly for Japanese -> other language or other language -> Japanese, but like it was already pointed out, Ame used it to translate English to Korean just fine. That's why it translated sword to geom, which is pronounced "kum" in Korean, lol.
