So what did they change about Sora? I can't tell what changed but I went from dying in the first five minutes of stage 2 to getting 26 minutes into endless mode with halu active.

I thought this had the chance to go infinite (provided that you keep pressing special) but i guess not.
Couple of things to note:
I took as much knockback as i could to prevent getting 1framed, but it still seems to have happened as the largest damage number I saw was 134 while i had well over 500 health.
The kill counter stopped increasing at around 34 minutes, but the yagoos kept appearing from the sides of the screen. What i'm guessing is happening is that the game despawns enemies to bring in new ones once you hit a certain cap, and those don't count as kills, so you absolutely need to be ahead of the curve to survive.
Lost a lot of money from membership due to this, lol.
Also, the strat seems to be to get piki halu and preferrably glasses asap, but NOT to get idol healing, so you can maximise piki procs early by running face first into everything with relatively weak weapons.
Besides super items being directly superior, I think these 6 are set in stone. Weapons should probably be stronger though.

The other 40 minute Sora run (on the subreddit) uses Nurse's Horn. Ideally, you'd get Super Body Pillow and Full Meal with Nurse's Horn and be fine, maybe. Don't know what you'd remove for FM though.

She basically went from trash tier, to best endurance holo. Just finished a 43m on Stage 2. He ult is stupidly broken, so I expect that will be nerfed.

full meal doesn't give you extra healing sources, and healing isn't an issue to begin with, so full meal is useless. Nurse's horn gives you extra procs for idol healing, mileage on that may vary, especially once you stop getting a ton of yagoo kills

This is worthless, knockback ends early if the hit another enemy, and the Yagoo's are too clumped up so your knockbacks do nothing.

I never ran into this issue in the 43 minutes i lived. I'm not sure what your collab upgrades looked like, but while my kills slowed down at ~40 minutes, I never stopped getting kills.

Agree on this point
Also, just to add, for anyone else trying, it seems like XP drops massivley fall off after 40 minutes as well. I was still getting ~20 kills per second, but from the sound of it I was only getting a couple of XP drops from them. I expect this is intended to prevent going infinite, but yeah.

I don't do it for the coins, you can get far more doing an actual coin farm run. I just do it because I like challenges, and want to try surviving as long as possible.

Full Meal and Nurses horn aren't going to help much. Assuming you build good collabs, damage dealt isn't going to be the issue, damage taken is. You need as much damage prevention as possible; big heals don't mean anything if you don't survive the hits.

Her Ankimo bear was useless at first. All it did was walk around and had a chance to "make enemies follow it". Not very useful. Now though, the bear functions more like Ame's dog and goes around attacking enemies.

Sora's ult also got buffed. Her angel wings feel more powerful in dealing damage and anything they touch heals Sora. She now joins the ranks of Gura, Roboco, and Fubuki as one of the few characters who can outlast Yagoos for more than 31 minutes.
Her ult is so good, it finally turned Piki Piki Piman into a good item to have.

I'm glad Sora is no longer a bottom tier character. Can't say the same about Mio, who still sucks.

Ankimo now makes a beeline towards the closest thing to Sota making him a better shield rather than randomly fucking around and drawing enemies away from you. her Ult now heals. You're the enemy had its stats upped now doing 50% damage instead of 20%. The wings actually got lower damage but now life steal and with the boosted damage are making you much hardier

I don't get it, how the FUCK do you survive more then 10 seconds against the YAGOO horde? There's simply no way to DPS them before they mob you and there's not enough defensive skills to allow to to turtle and tank, I think the only way to survive them is to outrun them.

You are correct

You are incorrect, though it requires specific characters. Gura can out tank them for a time, Iyrs and Sora can outheal them for a time, and Roboco can stun lock them for a time. Bit eventually, you will die to them.

Some of us were talking about it a day or two ago. It could in theory do Yagoo but even with 100% Crit as the first hurdle you then only have a 1/5 chance of triggering the charm and with all the Yagoos it may not be feasable

I'd assume JP 1 & 2 desu. "Everyone gets 2 gens" is false equivalence when "2 gens" is 66% & 100% of ID & EN respectively, yet barely even a quarter of the JP roster.
That said I could totally see ID coming before Gens 3 & 4, despite debuting later. If Kay wants to maintain hype over the long term, it'd strike a nice balance to do a side-branch update for every 2 JP updates.

Migo's "Nyeh" has an internal cooldown, I'm 100% sure of it. Rush Broken Dreams on her and watch enemies taking damage from the rain, it's nowhere near a 20% proc rate in any given area. That means Migo's scaling is never going to be all that great. Mid tier for endless, top tier for shitters who need a high damage weapon to carry early game.

No, it absolutely isn't the main issue. The main problem is that at a certain point you stop killing. You need as much damage as possible. You heal so quickly, however, that it's very hard to die.
Another thing worth noting is that the special's healing scales with your damage so you want damage anyway. I'm thinking of trying again with halu/glasses/body pillow/membership/injection/piki

YOu definitley do not. I never stopped getting kills, and my deaths came from being 100-0'd with stacked Yagoo hits. No amount of healing changes that, no amount of damage changes that.

It used to be more efficient doing stage clear, but the addition of Halu completely changed it. Now you go into Endless, reroll until you get Halu, then play it.

Run is going fine, nothing special. Coins plus kills is 25k at 17 minutes. Likely a 70k+ run but won't break any records. Assuming I survive. Though this damage is insane, and her special's interaction with Rap Dog is funny as fuck.

damage buff was a mere 20% increase. (330% to 350%.)
no its not enough to save the damn thing its still shit. it doesnt apply damage or knockback fast enough nor does it do a lot either when it does.
broken dreams on the other hand got a massive buff (200% to 300% damage) its pretty good on characters with skills that trigger on hit.

I think the current record from a no bug version build is still my 84k Roboco from last night with no golden yagoo or supers. I expect a run with a golden yagoo and more triples or a super could break 90k.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too when I saw anons doing this >>33333592
By that I mean upgrading Halu to lvl 4 or 5 without even upgrading starting weapon on lvl 7. Then I realized they probably bought almost all shop upgrades. So I sacreficed one golden upgrade from "Money Gain Up" to put in other stats that would help me with combat (pic related, something like that). It's not most min-max strategy, but I actually could consistently beat stage 2 with Mumei. Since I'm not that good my strategy was to leav halu at 1 till I finish my starting weapon. Then halu to 4 and leave it there till I finish my first collab. Maybe some more experienced anons can give you better advice about strategy or about order of buying upgrades.

defense upgrade helps too. i think its fairly cheap. anvil upgrade can wait until you either grab everything else or can comfortably get to the 15+ minute mark with halu 4-5

The problem with survival runs is they sort of ask the question of coins per minute. Your coins per minute is lower than someone who eats shit at the 30 minute mark by a long stretch.

Well I also had the 81k from before and that one did have a super, the 84k only really had better anvil discipline, a first level piggy bank, and maybe better anvil luck (it was not on the anvil bug version, though I had an 83k on that version I don't count). I don't think there's anything wrong with counting a golden yagoo so I would have said so if I had it. The entire run is dominated by RNG anyway. I'm not sure if I'll keep playing until I get a luckier run, but over 90k should be possible.

Yeah the record in the older versions was stage mode instead endless mode because stage mode was more coins per hour. Now endless mode is the better coins so the focus is there, but at least informally I think (biased, admittedly) the focus is still on coins/time, not just most coins.

So here's 73k as Baelz. At this point I think the endless "tier list" basically comes down to characters who can go the whole nine yards, and those who can't. Beyond that it's just RNG that determines just how many coins you get. So far the only character who could potentially break this and go one step beyond is Roboco because her batteries interact with level ups, which means they interact with coins.

probably not the most smartest thing to do but i like to distribute my upgrades evenly across all 4 collabs. highest i think i got was +4 on all 4. didnt help with killing the yagoos mind.
imo if you want to be as stingy as possible, maybe +1-2 your best collabs and then dont upgrade the rest. if youre comfortable enough to leave the game running for 10 minutes past the 20 minute mark upgrading is a waste of money.

Yeah what you can do at the 0 minute mark really depends on your upgrades. Most of the characters with GRank 21 and full Atk upgrade are able to one shot the Mio-fa in Stage 2 with lv 1 main weapon so the idea is to get Halu 5 rolling fast and farm those swarming free exp while you still can.
If you can get lv 7 main weapon by the time Koronesuki and Onigiryaa start spawning then your run is pretty much set at that point. People with better control will even opt to max out Glasses before main weapon if the RNG is kind enough and try to clear the swarm of Koronesuki and Onigiryaa with ult while kiting around.

Barring something I'm missing I think both Bae and Roboco will out-do Mumei. Both of them scale further in damage due to crits - Bae deals extra damage and Roboco gets free crit bonuses. Roboco's levels are much more valuable than raw damage though and discharge is a great AoE attack.

Mumei is still easier to play though, no real reason to put in the effort for anything else unless you're autistic enough to try to go for a record no one cares about and everyone will forget once these threads dry up.

Bae's crits are one thing, but Mumei's raw base damage is another thing entirely. The Bae run was +78% damage, while Mumei was +480% IIRC.

The only variable left in my mind is how the game has a limit of how many enemies it'll spawn at a given time. With enough damage you could hit the max spawn rate and thus the max coin rate, right?

Mama is a waste of a skill slot considering Mumei, Roboco, and Bae don't even have a healing skill.

Cheerful Laugh is fine, but promoting lower range collabs like BL Fujoshi is weird since it means you have less time to kill enemies before they reach you.

Omen is fine.

Mama is the issue here. It does NOTHING. Would be nice if Omen's CDR triggered on hit rather than kill.

Mama gives healing for enemies nearby, and cheerful laugh is increased damage the closer enemies are. But her primary damage is her special, which knocks enemies away from her, reducing the effectiveness of both previous skills. Plus, because Mama heal is on a timer, the frequency with which it procs while you've cleared enemies out with your special is often, making it incredibly unreliable as a heal.
Omen is supposed to help her stack her special, but because it is only applies by her basic attack, and only gives special if it secures the kill, it becomes irrelevant by late game, where your collabs and special do all your damage.

NTA but there are effects not written in descriptions. But understandable. A skill's description might not look nice if it is 3 pages long.

But I rather the description to be more precise. For example, AZKi's Encore's last line says "+10% song damage". But it doesn't affect Diva Song, Idol Song and Idol Concert (description: glowstick turns into song)

For me personally the coin farm items serve as a benchmark of whether a character can actually clear the Endless stage with just collabs + their passive kits without any outside buffs. For example a lineup of Halu 5/Glasses/Pig/Credit/Superchat/Limiter gives you absolutely nothing but 15% Spd boost from Pig, nothing contributes to an increase in dps assuming you only take coins once you maxed out the weapons. It's only the character you chose with their base stats, their kits, and collabs that you made.

80886: This run got off to a good start but I didn't get pig until 8 minutes and by then I was seriously considering taking something else. I got more than enough anvils but they were annoyingly backloaded so I got ~500 fewer kills than I was used to since my collabs were late and in a weird order. Wiki says blue exp orb gives 1~10 exp. In other words, an exp orb gives varying exp amount.
But this is dead wrong. I started a new run, killed 10 enemies and checked the exp gauge. Repeated this process several time.
The result was blue exp orb gave FIXED amount of exp.

Is the wiki wrong or am I missing something?

I dunno man, I had some real shit luck this run, (not getting glasses til 20 minutes, few health upgrades) and I was still killing Yagoo's right up until I died. Run was cut short due to low HP, but while it was 2 minutes shorter than >>33321076, I had 5k more kills. I really don't think damage is the problem if you build well, regardless of the stage, durability is.

I give up on beating my 84k run because I can't get good item/weapon luck and good super/yagoo luck in the same run.

I restart if I don't get piggy bank or halu in the first level. If I get piggy bank I restart if I can't get halu on the second, and if I get halu I restart if I don't get piggy bank in the first few minutes (depending on how good I feel the run is going I can give it a bit more time). Though with >>33350765 being 89k when adjusted to 30 minutes it's not like it matters; wish I could get super glasses on Roboco.

For comfort? Nothing beats Mumei. Try the usual Halu/Glasses/Pig/Superchat, replace Credit Card with Milk if you want and take Limiter. You can literally afk after beating A-chan and you miss almost no exp doing it because Friend with Limiter+Milk will cover nearly your entire screen. It's hilariously braindead that you can just throw the game on your second monitor and only go back when she levels up, hell you can even set a macro so you wouldn't need to press down key thrice and enter.

Nothing beats getting money doing literally nothing, you spend no effort yet you are still rewarded.

Sure, but you miss out on a chunk of the exp dropped unless you actively move around. As for Mumei since pickup range is shared with Friend who always revolve around her she miss out on less exp that way, which translates into more level, which in turn gives you more opportunity to take the 360 coins option.
Of course you technically can leave out a rainbow exp until the moment before YAGOOs start spawning, but it's purely RNG that way.

Do the enemies in the boss rush of Endless Mode count as Boss Enemies for abilities that don't affect bosses? For example, can Okayu eat those enemies? Can Ina convert them to Takodachi?
When last played Endless with Ina it felt like I couldn't but it could simply be that they're more spread out so not a lot get converted, and I was running away so I couldn't see.

It's not great in comparison to the other coin gaining items, but if you're coin farming then it's still better than any items that don't directly aid in getting coins or levels. Some people who shit on it early also didn't take into account the fact its affected by the shop coin upgrades and shuperchatto, so it's effectively 3 times better than the description suggests.

You're almost guaranteed to get coins on levels if you only have one weapon to level so you can usually do it with anvils. Waiting for 6 anvils on the ground means you're really delaying your next collab. It's yet another thing you're gambling on but the entire run is RNG.

But if >>33394061 just wants to farm coins in a chill way, it's probably not worth min-maxing that much. Just picking up the boxes as they drop is fine.

That's not why you leave the boxes, dum-dum. You leave the boxes until you fill your inventory to negate the risk of getting an item you don't want. Leaving them until your build is finish isn't reasonable anyway so just get them as soon as your inventory slots are all used.

Face mask is fine, not something you'd want in place of halu, glasses, pig, or credit card, but I'd take a super face mask in place of SC or milk if it was offered.

A box can level up an item in place of a level but so anvils can also do that. If you want the most gold you want to use anvils in place of levels/boxes as much as possible.

It depends on your luck how fast it happens but you don't need to get 4 collabs to start opening boxes. I often find myself capping out my items before 20 minutes with one or two collabs, opening all the boxes, then grabbing the golden anvil to get started on my next collab. My 84k Roboco run did it with just good anvil/box discipline (except two boxes I opened to gamble for a super) and good item luck without supers or a golden yagoo; waiting for those anvils makes a bigger difference in income than leveling your items faster.

Even if it does, so? It's not like the gold is worth less if you get it later in the run. As long as you do open them before 30 minutes it's still the same money.
