Vtubing is a job that mostly exploits strangers online or else why the fuck strangers would throw money at vtubers? No, don't give me shit reason such as viewers donate solely because they find the vtubers entertaining, that reason is only true partially. This "entertainment" can mostly be enjoyed without spending a single dime. The truth is everyone knew that viewers are willing to throw those crazy amounts of money only because of the parasocial aspect of vtubing, it's just people are denying it. Yes, getting too invested with vtubers means you are already in a parasocial relationship with the vtubers even if there's no romantic aspect involved.
And so, as a result of this relationship, these viewers will set some expectations toward the vtubers.
In Kronii's case, Kroonies have the expectation of her not collabing with males and in the first place if Krooni didn't go through GFE path nor if she manages the expectations of her fans well like Bae (You won't see Brrats seething if Bae collab with Stars because it's clear from the start she likes HoloStars and will collab with them). Frankly speaking, the audience that she currently has is the result of her own doing. I do get that she most likely got disgusted or something similar but if she thinks treating her viewers like rags and antagonizing them as she did on Twitter is good then it's her being a retard. She could have just ignored her viewers' rant the first time they pressured her to not do male collabs but she didn't and tried to ease them by promising no more male collabs and then today change sides again by antagonizing her viewers.
In conclusion, what Kronii did is violating an invisible contract that was established between her and Kroonies.
