Both Mori/Kronii "The Gap Moe" and Ame/Bae "The Clown" are in the same bucket, and these seem to be very Homo-radioactive, the second mostly because they also tend to be huge unity fags. The other buckets being Gura/Mumei "The cute (Singer?)", Kiara/Sana "The genki" and Ina/Fauna "The chill" seem to be less likely to be homo inclined.
JP talents also have these trope buckets I think, at least since gen 5. Botan, Polka, Aloe, Nene, Lamy in that order for instance.
There is definitely something like this in their casting process. They know it works because they can cover most of the ground with that approach.
