I'm an idolfag when it comes to Hololive. By that I don't mean that I have any problems with male collabs. Not at all, real idols collab with males too after all. I mean that the best content Hololive has to offer is singing and dancing. I would be completely fine with watching nothing but 3D lives and karaoke streams. If I wanted to watch fucking game streamers I would just watch fleshtubers, I don't care about most game genres anyway, I will watch a chuuba playing them only if I like the chuuba herself. Having a virtual girlfriend is something I don't care about either. I don't hate males too and will watch them if they're good at singing.
It's fine that not all chuubas from other companies care about singing, even though I wish they cared more. But if a Holo refuses to do her singing and dancing reps, she doesn't deserve her place, simple as. Play games, do zatsus, ASMR, GFE, collab with girls, guys or nobody at all, or don't stream anything besides karaoke once a month, I don't fucking care. But idol reps first and foremost. There is absolutely nothing like seeing your oshi performing and singing her heart out for (You) and being proud because of how far she've come. That's what "idol" really means. Both unicorns who equate idol concept to complete purity or being GFE goddess or CDGCT or whatever and redditors who foam at mouth upon hearing "idol" because muh evil idol culture making girls shave their heads can FUCK OFF.
