>>33908932>>33908952I see.
I've been of the mindset that the unicorns are wrong for their reasons as to why, and thinking if it wasn't para social then you'd still send her money because the intent was always just to fund her content. I've seen examples too, albeit male content creators, doing things like opening memberships, but then making it clear the money is just going straight back in to things like hiring editors, better recording equipment, etc
The HoloEN girls, do not do this. In fact I'm always left wondering where the money goes with someone like Gura.
Anyway, my main point gets back to what I said about the unicorns, and the contrast between the EN Girls, and those aforementioned content creators. If you're not explicitly showing where this money is going, and how it's being used to reinvest into the show, then I think it's fair to assume you're just using it as a paycheck, no?
Well from there, the elephant in the room becomes impossible to ignore. Like it or not, if the para social delusional guys are who funds you, then you can't do anything to shatter the illusion.
This wouldn't really be an issue if any of the girls did it like the numerous examples I can think of, where some guy or game dev make it clear where the money is going, and how it's intended to give the audience a better experience. But it's clear they're not.
>tl;dr: respect your fucking customers, even if they're delusional fuckwits. If you were actually focused on entertainment and providing a show, instead of pandering to unicorns/para social guys, you would be telling your audience you were and actually reinvesting into your business
