Does anyone know why some Hololive Vtubers are going full screen instead of having graphic arts where the blue lines are?
Some of them are still normal. (Aruran, Luna etc) but some are full screen (Irys, Polka, Ame Kiara and Mori).
I know it wasn't always like this. Anyone know why some are broadcasting in full screen?

I believe some of the IDs did this when the porn avatars were running around. Note the lack of chatter avatars here.

Oh, I remember that, so maybe. I'm an EOP so I'm not privvy to their actual personalities but I enjoy watching sometimes.
In Spooky's Mansion IRyS mentioned she was getting work done and would be fullscreen until it was done, but during my hopping I noticed it wasn't just IRyS.
So are they all waiting for art?
I just don't know! (...and nobody is talking about it!)

Isnt it just some of them have shitty ass computers and cant game in full res? Or even if they have a decent comp they never actually set it up and optimized it.

This is where I really noticed, last month everything was normal and now this month a lot of them are missing their border. Asking a V-tuber is like pulling teeth so I am just wondering if there is some announcement I missed (waiting on art or something).
If it was one Vtuber being the odd one out I wouldn't give it a second glance, but it's a lot of them.

to give you some background, most vtubers have pre-set screens set up for streaming. Ones that they can switch to on the fly at the push of a button. Sometimes they have several, ones with the art, or fullscreen versions, verision where theyre on the left or on the right. Theres no actual reason for the change they choose the one they want or the one they think will work best for the game they are playing

Just as an example to back that up, if you flip through Mumei's recent VODs she goes full screen for Rust but has borders on most games before and after that.

Yeah, generally games with more graphic fidelity or a darker/grittier/browner color pallete doesnt look all that great framed by pastels, so its a pretty easy decision to go no borders on that. On the flip side cutesy pixel games or bright colorful games that look good in a smaller resolution can fit snuggly in the border and look aesthetically pleasing
