>>33997688This is believable. Japanese companies tend to be paranoid and anal af when it comes to foreigners. It dates back to the war when they went from an empire to a third world country and realized they needed to keep money from leaving the country (ie people importing too much shit).
They literally associate doing business abroad with losing control of their money. It’s a habit from the old days, and lots of smaller companies like Cover and Anycolor (I mean, small compared to Sony or Toyota) still have trouble getting out of that mindset.
