My guess is Hololive's non-compete clause is, if you join a competitor company, you can't stream on the same platform (Youtube) for at least a year after leaving.
Kson still wanted to keep streaming on Youtube so she waited until the non-compete clause restriction ended before joining. Since Nazuna joined right away, she's still under the non-compete clause and can't stream on Youtube as Nazuna, she'll need to wait for a year.
