I'm sure Calliope didn't care but it was her job and she was new to things so she did it, but very poorly.
Kiara was bad at it too, but not as bad (though people might have hated the chasing role itself). However it ran into the same issue she faced with many things in the beginning where she was trying too hard and forcefully since this was the closest thing she had to her dream of being a proper successful idol since she went to Japan for that reason 10 years before.
It was pretty damn doomed from the start but it might have gotten better if not for retards misunderstanding. I'll not mourn for any management-assigned artificial character relationship not working out though.
