The map design is shit in most of these, though, they all tend to just choke up at mid, with no flanking routes, as well as having less cover for people from chargers.
That being said, you can still get the job done just fine, it's just going slayer in 3 is far weaker than before, mostly because of the aforementioned lack of flanks, and complete lack of true invincibility supers. You just have to play it more like an actual shooter, by sticking with your team, baiting the other to over extend, punishing flankers, poking at snipers, etc.
>>34399432Honestly blaming your teammates is a skill issue. They just need to be somewhat competent, and if you support and stick with them, you'll win more than you'll lose. Obviously I can't carry every single match I'm in, not even the pro splatoon youtubers/players do that until they hit S+10, but I win more than I lose by far. I've seen gameplay of Aki, her aim and positional awareness is mid at best, she's just in over her head and honestly I blame Nintendo changing the ranking system for this, by removing ranking down. It wounds people's pride, sure, but it prevents cases like Aki from ocurring, by booting them down to people more around their skill level.
