Here's some hard truth about the vtuber hobby. Vtubers has always been a normalfag first medium before a "hobby". Look at what you believe are the first vtubers. Annoying Orange or Kizuna Ai.

They actually both seek the normalfag audience you know. And both do normie trends in their hayday (like singing popular or parodies of current songs) because it actually made them popular for awhile. They have a lot of partnerships and collabs too. Even shown up in TV or cartoons, whatever.

But what is the point? The point is that vtubers weren't your kind of hobby at the first place. You can't "degrade" something that is originally aimed towards normies first. If anything, you are the ones changing the medium to it being towards a specific audience.

So, don't ever fucking complain the "normalfagging" of vtubers when its first audiences were literally normalfags.
