>>34627858>While i find the AI technology interesting, i still hold real drawing in high regardIt's the same for me, actually, and I'm not really mad, just hate luddites and boomers shitting on new things with a lot of potential because they can't adapt.
I went to music school, considered becoming an artist, being in a family of artists, grew up around a lot of art people who talked like this, and I genuinely despise pretentious bullshit like this after hearing it all the time.
>durr hurr it has no soul>OMG LE SOUL!!!A lot of musicians and artists are genuinely retarded because they do nothing but hone their very specific set of skills while ignoring everything else and then surround themselves with other people that do the same and live in a literal bubble for the rest of their lives, and it's quite competitive, so after reaching a technical plateau, they start comparing dick sizes using pretentious terms like "soul" and mald when they see young musicians outperforming them, and they do the same shit when they grow old.
Everyone's so full of themselves when all they do is autistically play dated normie shit over and over while there are so many compositions that don't have players, they're just like speedrunners.
I know so many musicians and artists that literally can't write a single orthographically correct sentence, and I'm not some purist, these retards can't spell words, I've seen people with great skill write shit like "sirial", "pliss" "bugette", shit like "should of" and "you'r" is everywhere, they can only type properly because of autocorrect.
I somewhat agree with what Miyazaki is trying to convey here, even though I believe technology will be able to create everything in the future, but even in near future, algorithms like these could be used to do a lot of technical shit, like backgrounds and in-between frames for animation, models, textures for games, music, etc.
