I think the main problem is that good artworks always have a fancy background, which is a pain for amateur to remove cleanly in photoshop. So the lazy artworks with an empty white background got picked almost everytime

I think bad art will become more popular as we see AI take control. Art that looks more weird and more human will be the goal. I mean meme art is kind of already in that direction. The goal will be to make iconic "bad" art. So bad it's good.
