Sadly, very few people watch IRyS for her music. Even her management seem to treat it as an afterthought. They just randomly dump it onto music services with no hype with titles in kanji - followed by a generic dull video 5-6 weeks later.

Also her new outfit taking longer than some entire vtuber careers is increasingly embarrassing.

Blame UMG, they wanted to try to appeal to mainstream more so it ended up kinda meh. They gave her full creative control for the album so we'll see soon since there is a good chance the first song fromt eh album coems out tomorrow.

She knows SN stuff wasn't her best work, they did sound much better live though. That's why she specifically mentioned that she has full creative control this time. She is also animating a music video herself. Her previous ones she did pre holo were insanely popular.

You do realize Gura doesn't write music right? Changing some lyrics for short meme songs doesn't count. Calli writes her songs. Sure, plenty of people have ghost writers for them, but it completely changes the economics of getting a record deal from a company and their incentive in signing a vtuber.
