there's also a bunch of issue with male chuuba in general :
1. if they went for brotuber or didnt pander to yumefujo they mostly act too much like dudebro which turn off female audience
2. if they go for yumefujo pandering most of time they just...either boring and tryhard making the pandering doesnt feel 'organic'. and sometime i feel the guy who do this (gay2pay or yume2pay type) often dont really enjoy doing this, like i could tell. it doesnt help yumefujo market is pretty niche desu.
though nijiJP proof there's interest on male chuuba and even female fans still flocking to them without the males doing pandering to them or there's nijiEN case where the female flocking to them because they pander them. but either way its clear there's still problem in the fanbase because in niji where its mixed group most of time there's issue with the female fans angry at the female talent ( i remember lain got harassed just bcus she's the only female in edengumi) so it honestly kinda rough.
i think people or corpo in general doesnt know how to crack it or dont know how to pander to female audience.
im thinkng that CBDCT meta might solve this issue because yume and fujo can both into it and no need to worry about the frequent female collab, the problem is no corpo chuuba leaning to this sadly.
holostars honestly can gain benefit from this because they're male only group vtuber but it just the talent is too autistic and just generally dont care about it.
i think if holostars can get the right talent who exploit this niche (CBDCT or fraternities-like meta) it can elevate male vtuber market as big as female vtuber market.
i mean just think about it, most popular male vtuber in JP didnt even pandering to yumefujo audience hard and mostly it just subtle/giggle. i think there's the formula but corpo chuuba just hasn't exploited yet.
if there's male vtuber group who mostly focused on cute boys doing silly thing that anyone from any demographic can enjoy. i think it might work. But again, just speculation tho.
need a right talent to do that just like sankisei who incline hololive with their no males collab shit, cabaret style & on top sankisei in general is very entertaining girls.
