>>34934725>>34934724Thank you very much!!! I will look into learning how to use it and decide if I will incorporate it into my drawing process.
And desu, I don’t understand why Artists hate it, shouldn’t it be a blessing?Beginner artist can improve their work instantly by using AI generated images to trace over. While pro artist might use it to speed up a process (since they can draw poses better, they most likely will use AI art for background characters). Artist like me who are slow but their quality is better than an AI generated ones can use it to speed up the process by painting over it.
I think this issue will settle itself in time. 3D usage was considered cheating and stealing someone assets but is now a common practice. Even unironically enough, digital art was considered cheating and not “real art”
The only unethical point I can think of is that the AI uses stolen images to learn, akin of using a 3D asset when you stole it from a video game rip instead of buying/developing/using free ones. Though you could argue that we humans also learn from other people artwork (and also text based AI steals from everyone texts (including novels and copyrighted text) but no one is opposed to that)
Maybe in the future more laws will be placed to make the usage of AI more ethical (using only public domain images, artists can opt in to train the AI, etc)
