I'm just disappointed that EN and ID were relegated to guests again since they seem even farther from JP ever since Tempus debuted.
I was hoping that the sportsfest could help restore some feeling of the pre Tempus Hololive.

Theres some merit to this. Mikos group is full of notable minecraft players while yellow has two heavy hitters in pekora and haachama and then nearly all poor players at best. Though pekoras been backed against walls before and ended up shaping up the squad.

It's their job to be proactive about this when the majority of them wake up on hours where most JP members are sleeping. I wouldn't be surprised if the reason this year's sportfest became invite based for EN and ID was because a lot of them just don't reach out enough to the JP branch, especially when you consider how the 4 who were invited probably have the most amount of collabs and interactions with them.

I'm honestly surprised at how disappointing this one is compared to the previous one and that had the "everyone is a winner" ending. Just seems like they have lost their magic from 2021 and are just doing it because of "tradition" like how they shat out that lame summer festival event which was just a horse race. They would've been better off just making the games so everyone can enjoy and have everyone come for a group game near the end like they did last year.

I don't think you will be missed. /#/ notes that in 2022 most JP holos can get huge turnouts relatively more frequently than ID or EN, even on regular streams. If its mostly or even wholly JP then the live views would probably still be on par with last year.
