Hi there /vt/,

How do you guys feel about me using a tool I built for the VTuber community in my actual resume that I’ve sent out already to companies like Google and Amazon. Pic is the description for what I have of the tool.

If you have no work experience, it's probably ok. I would leave out the vtuber part, because most hiring managers will have no idea what that is.
If you have a lot of work experience, why risk getting your resume dumped over something that probably took a few days to write.

You don't need to specify that the tool is used for fetching data about videos from vtubers. Companies might think you are a pedophile. Just say it is for creators.

OP here, I had thought on actually using the Swift package I made for an actual iOS app that can be put onto the App Store. I’ve just been watching way too much Pekora and Luna to have any productive time for the app.

That this technology is useless if it is not focused on a specific topic, I honestly don't see any use for it outside of showing the schedule of a handful of content creators.
If those companies see a use for it outside of something related to Vtubers, good for you I guess, although I wouldn't expect a response from them.

I agree with this. I'm not a developer but work in tech. We already have a rep for being social tards, this vtuber thing just makes me think I'm looking at a brony resume.

IMO instead of virutal youtubers just say Youtube Streamers but don't take my word, I'm not a programmer. Good luck!

This. Make your CVs as generic as possible, unless it is a very well known niche that stands out on its own. Vtubing most certainly doesn't, even with its explosive growth recently. "Recently" is the keyword here, most cunts don't know about it surprisingly. Your average typical streamer gets way more viewers than even large vtuber events do because they are more well established.
