Every cat I’ve ever known has been like this to some degree, though of course some are worse than others.
The way I see it cats end up with a similar problem that small dogs do: their owners let them get away with shit out of misplaced love, treating them as a pseudobaby they don’t want to punish. They’re allowed to do things that a big dog would get stopped for. But this has been every cat I’ve ever known. You might say your cats are different but that is what every owner says.
But even a hypothetical “good cat” seems like a worthless money sink to me. If you have a farm or some building and you want to keep vermin levels low? Then get a cat, it is what they were bred to do. But most people just end up using their cats as baby replacements.

It's understandable that vtubers want to take breaks in situations like this, but why can't they simply say that they are taking a break for personal reasons? I never had any pets, but many of my friends and relatives died and I never shared such information with anyone who hadn't known the deceased person. Telling anyone else only creates awkward situations. If someone is a public persona it's even more important to keep such information to their private circles. Did a wellness check on the palliative care ones, woman was dead for not even 5 minutes and the therapy cats were munching on her fingers.
