They aren't. The real difference is that Holo stopped blocking it because they have something to gain now. All the collabs that have been agreed the holo members get less viewers than their niji counterpart.

I don't get the unity shit for the most part. They'll end up being boring gimmick streams where they'll be scared to offend the other side. Just fucking weird like the Family Guy and Simpsons episode. The only time it makes sense is if they're clearly already friends pre-vtubing, have crazy chemistry or are both skilled at something like singing/art. Doing it for the sake of it will always end up shit. It's not like new content is coming from the mixing. Playing the same shitty games for 2-3 hours with even less chat interaction. Seriously what's the fucking appeal?

With a few exceptions like Marine or Suisei, most of them are extremely weak and instantly crumble when management says no. Just a reminder that peko wanted to release a speaking plushie but got denied because "it's not safe" despite the fact that there are entire brands built on those kind of toys. You can bet your ass that if any EN homos wanted that, they'd get it. There were also similar situations with JP management where male managers were able to procure game permissions while their female counterparts told their respective talents to fuck off.

Did you miss the part where both talents, blue homo and alban, said that both of them had to push for it to happen? It wasn't just one side saying "you can't collab with them because the other party is blocking it". I know it's popular to have an allergic reaction to EN homos, but at the very least you could admit that men have more backbone than women.

ID management is separate from EN and they never blocked niji collabs. ID members have already collabed with every single person on the planet who wanted to collab with them including various niji members. This, of course, excludes NijiEN talents, but that shouldn't surprise you considering that NijiEN has many Chinese fans and their fucking director/manager is also Chinese. They never had incentive to risk anything for lowtier ID collab numbers. When it comes to HoloEN collabs, it seems to be mutual judging from Kiara's and Pomu's laments. Just be glad that blue homo and alban collab got things going.

If Kiara and Pomu get to collab, that will prove without a doubt that Cover was the one blocking collabs with NijiEN and the only reason they stopped was because they're desperate to boost Tempus's numbers and NijiEN was willing to let them leech off their males under the condition Cover's ban on NijiEN was lifted.
