That's a fundamental misunderstanding. AI art is not so much the future. Because of how the so-called AI art really works you can say that AI art is the future legal precedent that will change copyright law. That's closer to the truth and is the actual interesting debate here. If AI art is deemed to not make any such breaches then you can effectively take any copyrighted works, use it to train an AI algorithm, then output a frankensteined work. Just imagine the implications for copyrighted music lmao.

It will also be funny when companies stop hiring creatives and just train AI on previous works or their competitor's works, then have it generate assets. The game industry will change dramatically too. The value of all content will be dramatically diminished. Let me see this future please.

It probably won't happen until companies start using it for commercial products or until they decide to defend their copyright.
