"meido" did used to directly mean janitor on /jp/ about 12-13 years ago, but /jp/ never actually had a mod hanging around there much back then (moot fucking hated /jp/ and it was like a staff culture thing to just agree with everything moot thought), so it got retroactively upgraded only in recent years.
