Gura Reflect MV

No.35347531 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Just saw the Gura Reflect MV and after reading previous threads, it made me wonder. What if it isn't actually about Gura saying goodbye to Senzawa, creating some form of closure like some said and instead is Gura saying it's time to move on? Considering the recent Senzawa "Uh oh" tweet, maybe Senzawa will resurface and make a comeback? She does seem like she's missing home, at least that's what I assumed her crying to some of the songs she sang, but idk about that.

She does also talk about past being important, thanking everyone for being there. Followed by unpredictable life being so much more bright, hence accepting the uncertainty her decision to leave Hololive might bring. Then she asks "us" (?) to watch over her as she lives her life -> her Senzawa or Gura fans then perhaps?

The lyrics then go on asking for them to evil Gura saying shark is all they'll ever be - signifying perhaps they were scared of the uncertainties if she was to leave Hololive and that she's nothing without being Gura, that her fans might turn their back on her? And that's what the previous part was about, asking her fans to stay with her, watch over her? "Give it up and ride the wave, just chill" - the wave of popularity Gura is going through right now, telling herself to not throw it away for some petty whims, just because she's feeling like she can't fully express herself or baka.

"I don't know what your thinking - Gura" - representing her inner thoughts of why on earth would she want to leave hololive with the current success she's experiencing
"Return to the sea, a shark is what you'll always be" - evil Gura representing the fans that will be telling her to come back/stay as Gura that might resent her for her decision to leave? But also the lyrics expressing the feelings of being restricted, not really being herself?

"The deep sea is a boring place, but I'll keep you in my thoughts forever" - her expressing gratitude to her current fans, but also her becoming somewhat bored of being Gura?

I mean, it doesn't really make sense ig considering the video is over half year old now, why wouldn't they post it at their date of departure? Perhaps it was meant as a sign and a song that'll make more sense in the future and the decision to make it was made together with the decision to not extend her contract?
I mean, I'm really stretching this one, but who knows, with the recent Senzawa tweet, I suppose we can only wait and see.
