When it comes to clips, where is the line between "free advertisement" and "leeching"?

When are clips no longer helpful and starts to be harmful to a vtuber, or content creator in general?

I have been watchings lots of content made by non-vtubers recently, high-effort content, and I can't help but think that if those streams were to be clipped, that would be the same as taking all the effort those people put in and using it for your own growth.

On the other hand I remembered about Tamaki, leader of Nori Pro, who always clips his own high-effort content and posts them as short videos on his own channel. This way, making sure that the clip's results will directly go to his channel and not to some random person on the internet.

Are there perhaps "this kind of content doesn't matter if it's clipped or not" and "this kind of content will be harmful to this content creator's growth if clipped by a third party", I wonder?

When you post it on Youtube (monetized platform) instead of Twitter or something like that.
Why do you post your clips on youtube other than making money on other’s efforts?

Makes sense, twitter is pretty popular in JP I believe.
Although youtube have a larger reach, twitter doesn't really have such a money-making engines and it's a good place for a fan who just wants to share a short, fun moment from his favorite vtuber

Obviously, especially when you give it a click bait title and only clip a particular part to incite drama. Clips from clippers commonly linked on this board - while I don't know if they're always harmful for the growth of the creator - are prime examples of the clipper not giving a shit and just wants views.
