This is just kind of what happens when you wall HoloEN off from the rest of the industry. Sure, it is valid to think of the insulated culture as comfy and relatively risk averse, but it also causes them and their content to stagnate. EN3 will just be 'more of the same' after the honeymoon period.
Tempus and NijiEN are both massive threats to HoloEN because said branches are just better at the job, and both offer something new to fans who have been incubated for 2 years on sanitised CGDCT. For the girls, most of them have probably been clawing the walls to interact with people outside their branch because there are a shockingly small amount of combinations that have any degree of chemistry. Less viewers might actually be a worthwhile tradeoff to actually enjoy collabs for once.
