>>35642201Collabs are shit content, specially in the 2view scene where the main draw is interactivity. Before you decide to do any collab you have to think if your audience would want to watch it. If you want to hang out to with your friends do it offline. Either find something fun to stream or you don't, this regardless of gender.
>I'm doing this for fun! I would like to believe you but then you sperg about your low numbers. Nyaru addressed this some time ago: Western Idols who didn't try very hard yet they got upset because they weren't treated seriously. With numbers you can't have your cake and eat it. There is no reason to believe this attitude didn't spread to this scene as well. You are not entitled to viewership.
You lose your right to complain about your performance the second you aren't doing your best, this should be obvious.
>But Holo collabs have more viewership! This was addressed by the slug herself long ago: Hololive watchers do not watch an individual vtuber, they watch Hololive as a whole. They are already invested in all the characters and want to see them interact.
You and random girl you met just yesterday for clout is not interesting content. for your audience because they are not invested in one of the two characters on screen.
An example of great recent collabs were Clio-Mako and Amiya- Onolumi.
This is because their audience were incredibly invested in both characters already with hags/ /vrt/ acting as a micro Hololive, and they both already interacted for very long with each other off screen. Chemistry has to be built.
> so are males ok?Depends on the male, even with unicorns. The Japanese actually make a distinction between "work related" and "fun" collabs, so even in 5ch itself it boils down not "male bad" but rather "unprofessionalism is bad".
Ina doing promotions with Shien did not make her lose her idol status in JP because it was for business reasons (despite what bait threads made by people who just larp as unicorns think). Lapus playing offline with facecammers in a rust server did, because there was no "excuse".
For a local example, chuubas being on Denshi Quest with Kongou barely raises an eyebrow, but Rebel was driven insane by Bunzel hanging out as friends with Tiredsquid. Insane people are a good barometer of how your audience feels because they don't have décor holding them back.
Ultimately no unicorn is openly an unicorn: if you ask in your chat or in discords everyone will act as if Ihey are pretending to support your decision. You have a duty to understand your audience yourself so you know if it will work. Also if you never wanted a gosling audience it is also your fault for letting them fester because you were scared of never leaving the 2view hell. "Burning" your unicorns is how you get dedicated schizos trying to stalk you so this is a terrible idea and the chuubas who suggest it want you dead. Rather, better do it gradually as to soften the shock - or to reincarnate, even.
This is not unique to them. The Chinese are equally insane and should be handled with care. So is the crowd in this thread, that has their own pet peeves and might try to cancel you for being part of a secret discord with the wrong people, for example. This should be examined carefully.
