>>3612181>UN considers SA a safe country>They aren't getting universal refugee status anywhere in the world.Because despite the high crime rate
South Africa isn’t in the midst of a civil war e.g Syria, the DRC,Yemen,Afghanistan etc.
South Africa hosted more British tourists than Brazil Pre-Covid.
>Where should they go?Putin was kind enough to offer them asylum in Russia but they decided Russia wasn’t good enough for them.
>Every civilized country has migration requirements in place and unless you are a refugee or crossing illegally you need to meet them.South Africa doesn’t set out the migration policies of foreign countries. They are free to offer the Boers asylum like Russia did.
>That they formed a Boers only enclave, which is still growing, is certainly tellingSouth Africa is a very big country and Orania is in a remote semi desert province that almost nobody wants to live in. Young people can’t wait to leave that place for the cities as soon they turn 18 years of age. Orania is basically a retirement home for boomers who want to live in the middle of nowhere.
>They somehow dodged multiple attempts at disbandingNever heard of that except for some politician saying something a few years ago on Twitter only to be asked by followers when is the ANC planning on filling the potholes in their town. Orania is possible because there is a grey area in South Africa’s constitution which allows minorities to exercise self-determination. Disbanding Orania will have to go through the courts and ultimately the Constitutional Court(South Africa’s Supreme Court) would have to make a ruling wether Orania is legal or not. Orania isn’t on the radar because they’re mostly boomers who don’t involve themselves in domestic politics. It would be an entirely different matter if they started secretly or openly hooking up with the Proud Boys or Oath Keepers and hosting its members in their enclave.
>and I can only imagine what shady deals they had to sign with corrupt politicians to still be kickin' I believe the government negotiated a trade deal with China for Orania to export peanuts or something. Maybe there was kickbacks payed then.
>Carl NiehousHe is white btw and was a respectful member of the ANC back then but now is seen as a cartoon character very much on the fringes and in the camp of disgraced former president Jacob Zuma.
