The only time I’ve ever fallen in love with a vtuber is when it’s a persona that’s so obviously fake that I know I’m not in love with the roommate. And it’s been awhile since that’s been a thing, it seems.
I seem to literally be unable to form parasocial relationships. At best it’s, “Cool, she’s like a friend.” But as soon as there’s a yab, I go “Aww, that sucks…oh well, at least it’s just a vtuber and not someone I actually care about.”
