>>3588722*Korone smashed two phrases together, "Joumondoki" and "Doki Doki"
-"Joumondoki" is pottery from the Joumon Era (14,000-300 BC), and specifically
Joumon means "rope pattern" while Doki means "earthenware/pottery".
So the "Joumon Era" literally translates to "Rope Pattern Era", as the time period
was named after the distinctive style of the pottery. It is one of the earliest examples
of pottery in the world, and the invention of pottery not only mean a new way to store goods,
but also heralded a revolution in cooking technology, as ancient Japanese people
could now use these pots to boil water and implement new cooking techniques.
-"Doki Doki" is the sound effect of heartbeat, describing excitement or nervousness
P.S. if it's your 2nd time here, welcome back! My professor for that art class was Aida Wong,
and to this day I'm still convinced she used to work for the Umbrella Corporation
