Empathy has been twisted and politiziced by the progressive left.
It is now nothing but a connotation ascribed to individualist identity politics.
Even worse, if you are able to empathize with 'the enemy' you are already classified as outgroup.
And now the intellectuals are already redifining empathy as a race thing. In the sense of
'if you are not (insert race x here), you will never be able to get the struggle. You will never be able to have true friendship with someone who is (race x)'
It makes me mad because this is the most racist shit ever and many people eat it up like it is gospel.
You couldn't find a better way to subtly further racial tensions to the point of race war even if you tried.
