Hololive was featured in Rebirth for You, the latest in Bushiroad's catalog of TCGs, and many agree that their collaboration was the sole reason why that game has not died yet.

For context, Rebirth for You is a reskin of their old game ChaosTCG, which died in 2018-19

They also had 2 other games that never lasted a year before Rebirth, Luck and Logic (2016-2017) and Dragoborne (2017-2018), one that was clearly dying, Buddyfight, and Vanguard (their flagship game for almost 10 years) rebooted twice.

Suffice to say, no one was excited for another Bushiroad TCG up until they revealed they had a Hololive collab

TL;DR: Hololive singlehandedly saved Bushiroad's failing TCGs

I always open both hlg and hlgg side by side.
Sure it's annoying at first but you get used to it.
Discussion about Holo JP has more depth in jp/hlg while vt/hlgg always better for EN and ID related except Moona.
I watch both JP and EN so this is necessary for me.

And yes, Weiss is their oldest and most stable TCG, but everything else in their TCG catalog died or was dying in 2020.

Vanguard has been rebooted like 2 times already. Vanguard was bigger overseas but Weiss has been very stable forever in Japan pretty much (the market that they care about).

Vanguard was fine for the first 7-8 years, then reboot.

A lot of people quit when Vanguard rebooted, and after 2 years, game was too fast and over-powered, and it was very obvious that they were going to reboot a 2nd time because never presented any product timeline during December (when they usually do), so more people quit.

Although I will say that the latest reboot of Vanguard has people excited but nothing has come out of it yet because COVID

Most of the cards based on anime are anime screenshots for the common cards. And unlike other trading card games, common cards aren't 99% useless and get used in decks.

Rebirth for You definitely chose quantity over quality for their cards design as I don't think they have the time or budget to hire artists for 30+ characters in one go while the Niji Wixoss collab come in small batches.
Also I like that the Niji collab give them new design appropriate to the collab. It's pretty rare for Holo collab to give them new design. Not counting Disgaea 6 since it's a palette swap, I think Azur Lane is the only one who did that.

The last time I bought sealed Weiss Schwarz product was on Amiami, but preorders are not up yet. Probably gotta wait a month or two since the release is on late September.
