If I had to pick 5 to form a list

1. Yuge Vtuber - Gura - having a top 5 vtuber list that doesn't include Gura is just trolling since she's the top dog by a mile, so it's obligatory
2. Biggest Growth - Kobo Kanaeru - Absolutely explosive growth and non stop entertainment.
3. Indie Slot - Shylily - I feel obligated to list an indie and she's probably the best choice. No other indies are big enough to get mentioned that weren't just hard carried by networking beyond their merit. Lily did resort to copying Gura in many ways (but there was a tidal wave of female vtubers who did the same thing and are nowhere now) but Lily has been entertaining enough to hold the numbers and viewers. She's the easy pick for indie vtubers for this year.
4 - JP Slot - Houshou Marine - The first JP vtuber to outgrow the explosive English speaking waves and push up in numbers above Calliope Mori. I'd put her in here just for that, but her successes with music are another huge factor here. She puts out songs that race to 10 million+ views She takes the JP spot easily.
5 - Male Slot - This is a tough one. Technically the answer should be Vox for his growth but it would be controversial with his whole past life of being a pedophile and a groomer. My imaginary awards show has standards after all. Unfortunately picking a male tuber is hard because it's so rare to find any who truly break the mold in interesting ways while finding their own success through merit and hard work. I guess if I have to pick it would be Magni Dezmond. Debuted with the most nerfed male vtuber model in history but has been widely considered to be one of the most entertaining male vtubers in the short time he's been active. There's not many streamers in the world that could have been put in his position and turned it into such a positive, most wouldn't have broken 100k in his shoes.
