Aisriale, Spacer and Kongou are the only ones you could possibly make a case for being pure-bred vtubers while all the others already had fanbases to get them started, and all three are actually MASSIVELY boosted compared to even most women.
Despite this, none of those three actually do all that well. We're calling them successful males when a woman with their numbers would be considered middling at best.
The fact is that BungoTaiga is actually the only one on the list that performs consistently well and he goes in and out of just acting like a woman. Even people like Takahata and Merryweather who have massive existing fanbases perform far more inconsistently in viewership and far worse in revenue than women half their size.
All these companies refuse to debut men because by the numbers, by the facts, male vtubers don't work in the west. The Japanese scene has always had a male presence, but there are still zero reliably popular male vtubers in the West. Any exceptions that exist are clear exceptions, they're all people who got here with a massive advantage and still perform far worse than women.
I don't doubt that plenty of them are talented, Takahata's obviously very good, but his numbers when he streams on his own versus when he streams with a boost from his friends is worth over 500 viewers. The corporations aren't debuting men because you can't count no men getting numbers at all yet.
