>>36167557My guy we're talking about Hololive. The company's all about cute girls.
That's how it was for years in Japan. That's how it still is over there.
That's how it was on EN for over a year.
This males suddenly showing up are a foreign new thing.
There's a degree of expectation that comes from brand identity. If you watch Disney you expect it to be somewhat family friendly. If play Nintendo you expect certain quality standards with accessible gameplay. If you eat at a fine restaurant you expect quality ingredients.
Expecting cute girls content from Hololive isn't a me problem, it's a logical extension of the company's history and identity.
Th EN branch is going off the reservation here, it's diverting from the main company and straying away from the core content it has always delivered.
No one gives a fuck about guys showing up on Nijisanji streams, or their streamers talking about cum and dicks because that's just their culture, their identity, always has been.
No one's going "Oh no they did a new yab" because it's a yab company.
But Hololive streams, Hololive events, Hololive contents in general feature only girls with a few very rare exceptions.
The EN branch is heading towards a status quo where males showing up on any stream is normal, and it's happening one by one. So it makes sense to actually count which girl is taking which side because it's uncharted territory. We don't know what will happen to this company, we don't know what every girl plans to do.
Plenty people became attached to the company for years, they followed it in JP and it stood to reason that EN would just be "Hololive" en english.
But if HoloEN is going to be interacting with men it is no longer "Hololive in english", it has become an entirely different entity.
And call it entitled but I do believe the english audience deserves a Hololive english version, a real one that delivers content in the same nature. It's not a crazy expectation, it's literally a standard for any industry to expect a similar product worldwide.
