Kiara hates Irys unilaterally.
Irys has both Japanese language skills of native level (better than Kiara) and singing skills
Irys is the person who Kiara wanted to be.
So Kiara is jealous of her and is mean to her.

And this is one of the reasons why I quit KFP.

They haven't been interacting much, but now that you mention it, I vaguely remember that during some of their first interactions Kiara acted like a meanie to IRyS. I think it was in Minecraft. It seemed strange since it was pretty close to IRyS' debut.
