(even Pochi who was a famous artist at the time got into Vtubing due to mental stress she was dealing from her job, and a lot of Vtuber's art designers end up becoming Vtubers as well as an escape from that)
For EN I can kinda see it for a few members, but there has to be a very obvious thing that happens that would just make it obvious that they're quitting soon. The signs were there for Sana since she never seemed to give have any progress that she was getting better on her health or that she was planning on streaming more often, so when the bombshell dropped it wasn't really a surprise but more of a confirmation of what people already knew was eventually coming.
A lot of people would have said Gura as well but there never was any hint of something happening to Gura that would be a reason for her to quit, everytime she went on long absences it was because she always said she was working on her own project for her fans, and right now she seems to be back full force with streaming.
Either way if they ever plan on quitting, there better be a damn good reason for it, because if they quit then it's basically game over on a lot of opportunities they could still get today. Doesn't matter how much of a "boost" they get on their rm accounts, once they're out of the Holobox then they're basically off on their own, manage their own projects, manager their own finances, can't rely on collabs, events, and members to stay relevant anymore.
