It's not just that their presence has made most of the EN girls unwatchable, but it retroactively ruined even my impression of them from the golden age. I essentially only watch Gura for obvious reasons since she clearly has respect for her fans, while someone like Ame, Kroni or Mori simply does not. Their ego destroyed them. As for the males I have never watched them, never will watch them, and will never watch any chuuba that collabs with them. But it goes further than that - I also don't watch any sort of collab or special event stream that features girls who collabed with them. Meaning, even if Gura hosts or collabs with say Ame or Kroni I'm just not watching that stream. I'm thoroughly disgusted by them, by Tempus, by the incompetent management that is directly harming vtubing as a whole and above all I completely lost interest in HoloEN. Not vtubing, but HoloEN in particular. With the exception of Gura I only watch small corpo chuubas and I couldn't be happier. I'm also completely uninterested in any new Gen, because frankly it doesn't matter. Why watch debuts? Why think that this or that girl may be good and get invested if say a year in she suddenly starts collabing with males? It renders any sort of affection or investment utterly meaningless.
EN management and Yagoo himself (I blocked him on twatter when he shilled one of the males lol) have completely lost touch, misread the needs and expectations of the audience, and have done irreparable harm to their brand. By that I mean that now there is no brand. There is no prestige to the Hololive name. They destroyed their reputation and there's no coming back from that. HoloEN became a stab in the back, an act of ultimate betrayal. It's even worse than Nijisanji because with them you know what you're getting into, but with Hololive the expectation was directly betrayed and thus the fans.
I am and remain a fan of vtubing. I want to watch cute girls do cute things, be interesting, try their best, even lean onto their audience if they're menhera. And HoloEN has nothing to do with that, and cannot have anything to do with that in the future, because any future gens are suspect by default. The promise has been broken, there is no more standards. Because of treacherous chuubas (Mori, Ame, Kroni), because of Tempus, because of the incompetent management and all the bullshit from insults to shilling to raw egotism I am totally disinterested and indifferent to Hololive as a whole. I used to watch them EXCLUSIVELY mind you. Now I just want it to wither and die so small EN corpos who are in touch can grow.
