Man Niji's are so desperate to praise a chump change that is superchats when everyone knows that most vtubers make a bulk of their money from membership, sponsorship, con appearance fees and merch sales. If big youtubers don't even use superchats most times when they stream, it probably isn't that much money in the long run. Just seems like the only ones who superchat are desperate for validating for their oshi's popularity when it comes off as a supplement for failing to get money elsewhere, even though the thing they are collecting data from isn't even accurate to begin with.
That's like celebrating beating Mori in superchats but forgetting that she gets a ton of her money from song sales from her albums and new song releases. That's like saying the one that got $10,000 in superchats but only 1,000 members vs some who got $5,000 in superchats because they didn't stream as much that month but still has a dedicated 5,000 members is more successful. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell that the one with more members earns more money overall. Unless those 1,000 are paying a higher tier than the usual $5~10, it's not even close. Gotta say that numberfagging is pretty dumb here just on the fact alone that you are basing information on inaccurate info and estimates and it only accounts for maybe 20~33% of where they get their revenue from when they certainly make more than that. If superchat was a major factor for them, they'd be streaming more often and streaming longer but a lot of them don't because it honestly isn't that big a deal to them.
