The feeling of loss disappears relatively quickly when you check out your graduated oshi's roommate, see their group of friends, recognize almost no one and realize vtubers actually stay very far away from the JP youtuber scene with only some exceptions. Realizing that what you were shown during your oshi's streams wasn't even 10% of their total life makes it a bit easier to stop the parasocial feelings you had for them

I spend so much of my daily life obessing over my oshi. When I close my eyes, I think of her. Every other passing thought I have is of her. It's so fucking sad that all I'll ever be is a name on the screen, and when the stream ends, it's like I stop existing to her..

Same way I deal with all loss, I try to forget about them until I barely think about them any more. Every few months I'll take some time to think about them and be sad again. This is probably not healthy but it's worked for me so far for both internet personalities and family members.
