Those sub number don't mean anything because I doubt there's even 1 million actual vtuber fans in the world. And by that I mean people who actually watch streams or regularly buy merch.

'rona is over, so that buff is gone. People are at back at work and doing other shit. I also think things are about to get worse, considering that a good chunk of Myth's audience consists of teenage redditors who will drop them as soon as the next shiny new thing comes along. Vtubing will consistently improve in terms of the tech, so I'd say until there's an indie (I'm going to be blunt, indie. VShojo's already alienated its audience to twitch, Niji doesn't have the clout in the west that Holo has, and Holo just refuses to use newer technology. Remember how excited Cover was to announce 3.0 only to give it to Fubuki who used it precisely once, and then no one else?)
Western vtubing has a nuclear winter on the horizon, and it's long overdue.

Ame and Mori are playing divisive games and it's just what happens. People wonder why Bae is unaffected as much, it's because Bae isn't a spiteful shit about it. Ame is proud to just ignore it and do it anyway and Mori is an utter tryhard going out of her way to actively collab with them as much as she can just like after the connor arc because she thinks punching down at her own fans makes her a cool person.

It still can suggest that Gura, for example, had
a slow-to-stagnant last 7 days. I mean she was clocking an average 12-ish thou per week for the 30 days prior.

Granted, that's an AVERAGE over 4-ish weeks, some of which could have been slow and some explosive.. but there's real room to speculate.

There is no denying that holomyth is good, but I don't think these numbers would still move as fast as last year and 2020. Not that they are falling apart, they would just devolve into average joe by the end of the year if we just look at numbers, but since active fans has reduce(based on numbers) then maybe its also good since it could mean that things will go under control from now on...? Though I'm convinced that they really are falling apart if their subs reduced to 1k or more coz for how I understand it, it would also affect the youtube algorithm.
