I have wondered however that it is a bit odd that most vtubers generally look like an animated gacha or VN character, rather than more directly inspired by you know, fucking anime characters? The otaku medium with motion to it beyond a moving mouth? The format that would make a most natural looking transition to this? ????
I've thought for the past few weeks now if I were going to design and rig a char and be an indie etc, I'd model myself off something like a mid-late 80s OVA quality anime type shading/lighting effects etc. Because you don't really see anything like that somehow in this field with fucking thousands of tubers, and it'd look actually very unique. I'm guessing someone's probably done it but is a literal 2-view or already graduated.
