If we take into account Country Roads is about yearning for a simpler time, then maybe the reason they decided to choose this song is because, not just Mori, but all of HoloMyth yearn for a "simple" way to have all sorts of misadventures with each other like other gens do who have that privilege.
inb4 muh takamori, yes Mori and Kiara were able to do offcollabs easier back then but obviously that's not possible now Maybe I'm just going full schizo here, but I don't think the real reason they chose this was because of memes.
