>>36908316Kiara's aiming for the non-existent EU market and generally plays debuff games. She was getting like 7-8k playing GTA (and IIRC gets similar numbers in Minecraft etc) and that is in-line with the other ENs actually. But when she's playing nameless indie game for like 3 hours or doing a like 7 hour SC read, yeah that's not gonna pull in bored/curious eyes. An endurance stream works well if there's some sense of progress that can be seen over it, which is why it works so well for Korone playing old kusoge trying to clear the whole thing in one stream, it's a story with a defined beginning/middle/end that you can check in on throughout the day. A 7 hour zatsudan/SC read is a giant formless blob. Personally I literally never join those because I feel like I have to listen to like 40 minutes of lame questions/"thank yous" to maybe get one kind of neat story or bit of news out of it. Koyori specifically condenses what she considers news worthy into guess what, a news stream. Which is short but consistent.
Another key difference is Koyo is efficient, she streams a lot but they're usually like 1-2 hours at a time. This was a HoloX tactic overall and Laplus employed it to great success before dropping off into nostreams world. Which reminds me, Lappy and Chloe both have had long pauses and both pull like half the CCV they used to for most streams, while Koyo's doubled. Lui was never super hardcore but hasn't really stopped either and is kind of the same - this is most similar to how ENs are, a lot of them are decent-enough but not like mega-streamer mode hype.
I suppose one metric to see if it's just a JP thing would be to measure Bae's CCV over that Febaerary thing she did and see if it actually grew over time and if she retained a boost afterward (and for how long). That might answer it because Bae is skipping over the horrible time slot/games etc.
