Pippa's collabs were actually topical interviews where she often roasts the guy. Including her own boss. Simply put when Pippa does it it never felt like a "collab" but as a genuine interview, quite professional in fact because she's for some inexplicable reason actually really damn good as an interviewer. She isn't fawning over the guy(s) or being lewd, dropping innuendos etc. While I'm not interested in watching males in any capacity I did watch Pippa's interviews, because the whole feeling and content of those is something wholly different from what Nijisanji and rotten HoloEN are doing. And she doesn't do that often either, it only happened like two or three times. In Nijisanji the girls became mere accessories to the males, and in HoloEN the girls utterly destroyed themselves over which one will jump on them first while shitting on their fans - with notable exceptions of Gura, Kiara, Fauna and Mumei.
Pippa's success is well earned and unlike the disaster HoloEN became she sees her success in the same way Gura does - it's something that is the result of being loyal to the fans that carry you. It's that simple, and for some reason the vast majority of chuubas are utterly incapable of grasping this simple concept. Watching Pippa is a pleasant, fun, often weird experience. But above all that there's a degree of trust that makes you relaxed, because you know she gets it. She isn't doing GFE, she isn't flirty at all and her innuendos or more sexual jokes are always tied to the topic of her amazing rants or the game or whatever we're watching rather than about her trying to arouse you, yet because of all this she is lovable and very much a girl. She's just very likeable despite of and because of her various and very real menhera issues. She's a very flawed human being and isn't hiding it. She actively tells chat that she's a goblin woman with disgusting habits and shitty teeth, yet we all come back to watch her. Because she's entertaining, because she actually tries and has tried before. She created a core audience that fucking loves her, and others joined in on the fun bit by bit.
I primarily watch Gura and Pippa, and most girls from Phase Connect. I'm hardly the only one. It's very interesting to see how this all developed. The way HoloEN shat the bed is so colossal a lot of people who were previously only their watchers scattered all over the place, primarily into small corpos and indies. (I was watching Pippa since she was a 2view though, but she was the only exception to the Holo rule).
