>>3699220>stupid, nonsensical meme comes from an incredibly mediocre piece of media>explodes in popularity just as the show comes out and dies a week laterRemember 13 Reasons Why? Remember the Witcher? Remember the Queen's Gambit? Remember all those Star Trek shows that amounted to jack shit?
9/10 times it's literally just astroturfing that makes these shows seem popular on here and Invincible is the most laughable example of this yet. The fact that anyone on /tv/ ever thought that people liked this show just goes to show how fucked the internet has become by marketing shitters.
It's a generic teenage superhero story with heavy social justice pandering, embarassing music and direction, stiff animation and a "grittiness" that only really develops in the first and final episode. /tv/ has no fucking reason to do anything but laugh at it, but since marketers beat them to the punch the losers that actually eat this kind of shit up think they're in good company and storm into the threads where they can circlejerk themselves and outnumber any dissidents.
It's not just forced memes either. The worst of it comes with the forced waifu threads. They appear in even greater numbers and last way longer than the memes (example: KNEEL, Zendaya, Daisy Ridley).
