It was promotion for the entire company and everyone in it and it was done in a humorous way as opposed to a soulless one like every news item only being about new merch and ways for the viewer to spend money. We learned way more about the goings-on behind the scenes of Hololive thanks to AsaCoco than we did anywhere else. We even learned things like their revenue split thanks to Coco.
It was a fantastic and genious way to become aquainted with the members of Hololive. She brought a degree of levity to Hololive that didn't exist before that and it made the talent feel a lot more relatable as a result. She was a court jester who was able to openly poke fun of the king that was COVER and Hololive to his face and everyone laughed, including the king.
And they're all still up on youtube and they all have subtitles available that were provided and done by herself, another thing that she was the first to do.
