What I love about this is the hypicroacy of it all. If they were actually fine with having their boyfriend known and support them, then their should be no issue with mentioning that she told him something. But she didn't, and lied saying it was her brother. So despite wanting to have her boyfriend support her and have her fans support that, she still lies to them knowing that at the end of the day its nigh-career suicide and severely limits her.

No, they play a character during debut then break character within 2 weeks. But the audience keeps trying to pretend its fiction and then they keep slipping and more and more things that make you realize it's not a character, you're watching a person. But you didn't sign up to watch a person, you signed up to watch a character. So when that person does things out of character, the illusion shatters. You pack up and leave because the character and the person are inseparable at this point, but that isn't what you signed up for. You want to keep believing in the character you were sold, but in the end you get a person. A person who isn't in character anymore. If they can't hold up their end of the bargain, you as a viewer have no obligation to hold up yours.
