>>37483168Nobody is winning if you still cling to those two companies. These collabs are proof that they, and especially HoloEN, have completely given up on trying to compete with each other. It means both are now playing a defensive game where they try to keep their existing audiences and that there's no vision for the future. What you're seeing is two Japanese companies closing ranks so that small corpos and indies find it more difficult to compete. However, what they fail to see is that without any prestige left in the HoloEN brand due to Mori, Tempus and the idiocy of Ame and Kroni, and without any sort of culture beyond poo poo pee pee for Niji and Niji 2.0 both of them are increasingly uninteresting. I am fully expecting both companies to merge at some point in the future since Hololive threw in the towel.
This is Japanese arrogance and nepotism in full display, with nothing to show for it except unnecessary cross company collabs which would NEVER happen if Hololive was still worth anything. You are simply seeing a homogenization and normification of the remnants of Hololive via collabs with the normalfaggot company of low effort and males, which failed upward into being the strong partner in their relationship.
It's all just sad and meaningless. But here is a golden opportunity to rejuvenate vtubing, and that Renaissance will come from indies and small corpos who will go all in on idols and no male policies.
