That said, while some companies might be just virtue signaling, true, others may genuinely want to cut all ties with the aggressor country. It's not like they're out to get (You) specifically. You could say it's an emotional decision that damages them too, but it's what they feel they have to do.
Still, these measures might have a practical benefit after all: they may not be saving lives right now, but by taking away the little distractions, they make you more aware, thus serving as an inoculation against political apathy – the very same apathy that is killing hundreds every day as we speak.
